The first version of the KOARENA Chita Brazilian Jiu Jitsu kimono for kids was released in March 2016.
After more than 5 years and with hundreds of units sold, we have updated this kimono keeping a very similar design, but with a slightly lighter fabric in the jacket to make the kimono less heavy and more comfortable when training.
So if you are looking for a BJJ kimono for your son or daughter, we assure you that the KOARENA Chita V2 Kids BJJ Gi kimono will be a perfect choice.
The jacket is made from 350 GSM Pearl Weave cotton fabric (the standard for adult kimonos).
This fabric is very consistent and unlike other brands, the jacket of this kimono for boys or girls is made entirely of the same fabric used for adult BJJ kimonos.
As for the design of the jacket, it has a patch on each shoulder and on the bottom front it has an embroidery with our children's mascot, Cheetah, the cute cheetah cub dressed in his kimono and belt.
On the back, the jacket now has no patch or embroidery so that the children can wear their academy patch if they wish.
The lapels of the jacket of this children's BJJ kimono are also made in a similar way to those of the adult kimono, with 6 reinforcement seams and rubber inside to make them more rigid and resistant.
As for the trousers, they are made of 8 oz. cotton twill and have an elastic waistband so that the child can easily put the trousers on without the help of an adult.
The trousers also have an internal drawstring for small children where the elasticated waist is not sufficient to hold them in place.
The trousers have two patches, one on the side of each leg, and match the shoulder patches on the jacket.
Very economically priced for the quality, the design of this kimono will delight little Brazilian soft art warriors.
